ANV Knives Z400 Folding Knife (DLC Black, Duralumin Handle)

Description

The ANV (Acta Non Verba) Z400 is a striking, tactical everyday carry (EDC) folding knife that takes the sleek European minimalism of the Z-series and scales it up into a formidable, dagger-inspired profile. Designed for users who demand a larger, high-performance tactical folder, the Z400 features a symmetrical, dagger-style spear-point blade (sharpened on one edge) that excels at piercing and versatile cutting tasks. This specific model boasts a stealthy, all-black DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) blade finish for maximum discretion and wear resistance, paired with a premium Duralumin handle.

At the core of the Z400 is a commanding 3.9-inch blade forged from premium Sleipner tool steel, highly regarded for its exceptional toughness and outstanding edge retention. Deployment is lightning-fast and authoritative via the flipper tab, which not only acts as a reliable finger guard when open but also features ANV's signature Swiss Super-LumiNova® luminescent dot for quick orientation in the dark. The extended, ergonomic handle is constructed from black hard-anodized Duralumin (aerospace-grade aluminum alloy), offering extreme durability while keeping the overall weight incredibly light. Locked firmly by a sturdy liner lock and equipped with ANV's reversible deep-carry wire clip, the Z400 is a premium tactical tool built for modern professionals.

How To Use

  1. Opening: Hold the handle securely. Place your index finger on the flipper tab protruding from the spine. Press down and pull back decisively (like flipping a light switch) to deploy the large blade swiftly until the liner lock engages with a solid click.

  2. Cutting: Utilize the perfectly centered point for precise, powerful piercing tasks or the long edge for smooth slicing. The flipper tab will act as a guard to keep your hand from sliding forward. Always cut away from your body.

  3. Closing: Turn the knife over to view the inside of the handle. Use your thumb to push the metal liner lock bar to the side, clearing the blade's path. Carefully use your index finger to begin folding the blade closed, then remove your thumb and fold it shut safely.

  4. Maintenance: Wipe the blade clean and completely dry after use. Because Sleipner is a tool steel, apply a light coat of knife oil periodically to the edge to prevent rust, despite the protective DLC coating. Keep the pivot area clean for continuous smooth deployment.
