Description
The Buck Knives 110 Slim Select is the modern, everyday carry (EDC) evolution of the most famous folding knife in American history—the classic 110 Folding Hunter. Designed for users who love the iconic shape and rock-solid lockback of the original 110 but desire a much lighter and more pocketable profile, the Slim Select delivers legendary performance without the traditional bulk. By swapping the heavy brass and wood handle for a sleek, highly durable glass-reinforced nylon (GRN) handle, this full-sized knife practically disappears in your pocket.
At its core, the 110 Slim Select features a razor-sharp, 3 3/4-inch clip-point blade forged from Buck's trusted 420HC stainless steel. Treated with the industry-leading Paul Bos heat treatment, it provides exceptional edge retention, corrosion resistance, and is easy to resharpen. Updated for modern convenience, this reimagined classic includes dual thumb studs for swift, one-handed deployment and a reversible deep-carry stainless steel pocket clip. The 110 Slim Select is the perfect fusion of traditional American craftsmanship and contemporary EDC utility, offering a full-sized grip in an incredibly lightweight package.
How To Use
-
Opening: Grasp the handle securely. Use your thumb to push against the thumb stud, rotating the blade outward in a smooth arc until the lockback mechanism engages with a distinct "click."
-
Cutting: Leverage the long, curved belly of the clip-point blade for slicing, or use the fine, sharp tip for precise detail work and piercing. Always cut away from your body.
-
Closing: Hold the knife firmly, keeping your fingers clear of the blade's path. Depress the lock release bar located on the spine (back) of the handle. Use your other hand to gently fold the blade closed.
-
Maintenance: Keep the pivot point clean from pocket lint and debris. Apply a drop of lightweight oil periodically for smooth action. Wipe the blade clean and dry after use to maintain the stainless steel finish.
