Princeton Tec Apex Headlamp

Description

Designed for demanding search and rescue (SAR) missions, extreme caving, technical outdoor exploration, and industrial work site applications, the Princeton Tec Apex is a flagship high-output headlamp. Powered by four standard AA batteries housed in a rear-mounted waterproof battery pack, it delivers up to 550 lumens of brilliant illumination with a maximum beam distance reaching 120 meters. The Apex features a dual-beam system comprising a single powerful Maxbright White LED for long-distance spot beam projection, alongside four Ultrabright White LEDs for wide, smooth flood lighting. Equipped with Princeton Tec's proprietary LED optical regulation technology, the headlamp maintains constant brightness over the battery lifespan without sudden dimming. Built with an IPX7 waterproof rating and a rugged heatsink housing to dissipate heat during high-power operation, the Apex offers unyielding durability in the harshest environments.

How To Use

  • Powering On & Mode Switching: Use the dual push-button switches located on the bottom of the headlamp housing. Press the large button to cycle through High and Low modes for the Maxbright spot beam. Press the smaller button to cycle through High, Low, and Flashing modes for the 4-LED flood beam.

  • Adjusting Angle: Swivel the light housing up or down on its ratcheting bracket to position the light beam at the desired angle.

  • Changing Batteries: Unlatch the rear battery pack enclosure, remove the spent AA batteries, and insert four fresh AA alkaline, lithium, or NiMH batteries observing correct polarity (+/-) before snapping the latch tightly closed.

  • Monitoring Battery Life: Observe the multi-colored LED battery power indicator on the housing to monitor remaining battery voltage during use.
