Description
Designed specifically for sailors, mariners, and nautical enthusiasts, the Victorinox Skipper delivers essential maritime tools in a heavy-duty 111 mm frame. Engineered to handle unpredictable conditions on open water, this lockable Swiss Army Knife features 18 high-performance functions—highlighted by a specialized marlinspike and shackle opener to undo stubborn knots and unfasten rigging hardware with ease. The large, wavy-edged (serrated) main blade deploys smoothly and locks firmly into place using a reliable slide-lock system to safely cut through wet ropes, lines, and heavy cordage. Housed in durable, easy-to-spot blue scales emblazoned with a nautical compass rose logo, the Skipper is an indispensable piece of deck equipment for any boat or yacht.
How To Use
-
Deploying & Unlocking the Main Blade: Slide the nail nick on the main blade outward until it clicks into its locked position. To unlock and fold away, slide the grey button on the side of the handle backward while carefully folding the blade back into the handle slot.
-
Using the Marlinspike & Shackle Opener: Pivot the marlinspike out from the frame; insert the tapered spike into tight rope knots to loosen them, or fit the slotted shackle opener onto rigging pins to loosen tight shackles.
-
Cleaning & Maintenance: Rinse thoroughly in fresh water (especially after exposure to saltwater) while opening and closing the tools. Dry completely and apply a drop of multi-tool oil to pivot points to maintain corrosion resistance and smooth operation.
