Engineered in Austria for extreme tactical applications, heavy-duty duty belts, and professional personal protective equipment (PPE), the AustriAlpin COBRA® PRO STYLE SNAKEBITE 38 mm (Model FY38KVF-LS) is a specialized variant of the world-renowned COBRA® buckle. Precision CNC-machined from high-strength 7075 aluminum alloy with solid brass clips and stainless steel internal springs, this buckle integrates a clamp/clamp-teeth mechanism—known as the "SNAKEBITE"—on the adjustable side. This clamp firmly bites into thin, soft, or slick webbing, completely preventing webbing slippage under dynamic movement or heavy loads. Featuring AustriAlpin's patented dual-clip locking system, it cannot be opened accidentally under tension or by single-side pressure, while the PRO STYLE rear cutout ensures automatic clearing of dirt and debris.
How To Use

Fastening & Release: Push the male component directly into the female housing until it securely snaps into place with an audible click. To disengage, press both brass side clips simultaneously.

Threading & Operating the SNAKEBITE Clamp: Open the hinged SNAKEBITE clamp lever on the adjustable side, thread the 38 mm webbing through the bar slot, adjust to the desired length, and snap the clamp down firmly into the locked position to bite and anchor the strap.

Maintenance & Inspection: Inspect the teeth on the SNAKEBITE clamp and internal locking slots for dirt or debris. Clean with fresh water, dry thoroughly, and inspect spring engagement before heavy load-bearing use.
