Buck Knives 250 Saunter Folding Knife (Clip Point)

Description

The Buck Knives 250 Saunter is a modern reimagining of the classic gentleman’s pocket knife. Designed specifically for everyday carry (EDC) in environments where locking blades may be restricted or when a minimalist approach is preferred, the Saunter offers the perfect balance of traditional slip-joint mechanics and premium modern materials. Its slim, lightweight profile makes it an unobtrusive companion that slips easily into a pocket or suit jacket, ready for daily cutting tasks.

At the heart of the 250 Saunter is a precise clip-point blade crafted from premium 154CM stainless steel. Treated with Buck’s legendary Paul Bos heat treatment, this blade delivers exceptional edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance. The clip-point profile is perfect for tasks requiring a sharp, controllable tip for piercing and detail work. The handle is constructed from durable, textured black material (such as G10 or Micarta) to provide a secure, modern grip on a classic silhouette. Operating on a smooth slip-joint mechanism without a traditional lock, the 250 Saunter is a sleek, reliable, and legally friendly EDC tool for the modern professional.

How To Use

  1. Opening: Hold the handle securely in one hand. Use your thumbnail in the nail nick on the blade to pull it open. The blade will snap into the open position under the tension of the backspring.

  2. Cutting: Utilize the fine tip of the clip-point blade for precision work or the belly for slicing. Because the knife does not lock, always apply cutting pressure against the edge (downward) and never put pressure on the spine of the blade.

  3. Closing: Keep your fingers clear of the blade's closing path. Push down gently on the spine of the blade to overcome the spring tension, and carefully fold the blade completely into the handle.

  4. Maintenance: Keep the slip-joint pivot clean and occasionally apply a drop of lightweight knife oil for smooth opening and closing. Wipe the blade clean and dry after each use to maintain the 154CM steel.
