Designed for maximum safety, versatility, and smooth handling during belaying and rappelling, the Mammut Classic HMS Twistlock Plus Carabiner is a medium-sized pear-shaped aluminum carabiner built for all climbing disciplines.Finished in a clean natural metal body with a sleek black locking sleeve, this asymmetrical HMS carabiner easily accommodates dynamic belay knots (Munter/HMS hitch) or belay devices with ample internal volume. Equipped with an automatic 3-way Twistlock Plus mechanism, the gate locks automatically as soon as it is released, requiring three distinct actions to open to eliminate accidental gate disengagement. Its integrated Keylock nose prevents snagging on ropes, webbing, or anchors during clipping and unclipping.
How To Use

Opening & Locking: To open the gate, slide the locking sleeve upward, twist it 90 degrees, and push the gate inward. Release the gate to allow the spring mechanism to snap shut and auto-lock completely.

Proper Belaying Alignment: Position the carabiner so that the widest end faces the belay loop/knot, ensuring the load rests along the strong major axis.

Maintenance & Inspection: Keep the auto-locking sleeve free of sand, mud, and chalk. Clean with warm fresh water, dry thoroughly, and apply a drop of silicone/dry lubricant to the pivot and lock mechanism as needed.
